NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The National Weather Service says an EF-0 tornado hit the on the southeast side of Sparta Sunday morning.
The survey reports that wind speeds reached up to 85 mph, but the tornado's path or duration is still being determined.
Straight-line winds caused significant damage in the area, downing many trees and power lines. Those wind speeds actually topped the tornado with a max of up to 95 mph.
