CADIZ, Ky. (WTVF) — National Weather Service officials say an EF1 tornado touched down in Trigg County when a line of storms pushed through the region on New Year's Eve.
The tornado touched down just northweset of Cadiz just offshore in Barkley Lake near Blue Water Estates.
At least six homes were damaged with shingles and vinyl siding being blown off and windows broken. Officials also reported three garage doors blown in and another had lost several shingles.
Two people witnessed the tornado that also snapped or uprooted a couple dozen trees.
