Elderly Man Killed In Gallatin House Fire

GALLATIN, Tenn. – A house fire claimed the life of an elderly man in Sumner County Friday morning.

The Gallatin Fire Department and Sumner County sheriff deputies responded to the scene.

According to the Sheriff, a 92-year-old man was killed in the house on Dobbins Pike.

First responders blocked part of the road to fight the flames.

Investigators said they're not sure of the cause yet, but they added it may have started in the man's bedroom.

Around 75 percent of the home was damaged.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate.
