Authorities in Sumner County have asked the public’s help after an elderly woman was assaulted during a robbery.
The incident happened at 11 a.m. Saturday at a home on Scotty Parker Road in Sumner County.
Investigators said the 75-year-old victim claims two men knocked on her door and asked for a place to rent.
They then allegedly demanded money but she didn’t comply. At some point, the woman was reportedly strangled and bound.
