Officials with the Davidson County Election Commission have implemented new guidelines after allegations of questionable spending.
The allegations surrounded receipts of officials using county credit cards for things like upscale dinners.
The commission approved five additional controls on credit card spending among them: backup documentation will be required for any purchase over $100.
Chairman Jim Delanis said, however, that the guidelines were a work in progress.
At the next election commission meeting, leaders planned to further clarify the new rules with some additional language.
