NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As homeowners have been considering how to save energy, those with the Tennessee Valley Authority and Nashville Electric Service have been offering a program to help out.

The program has been called eScore.

At a home in East Nashville, crews demonstrated a first-hand look at the evaluation process to see what upgrades may be needed.

Through the program, homeowners can make energy efficient home improvements and receive cash incentives at the same time.

“Not only does improving the energy efficiency of your home lower your bills, you’re able to be more comfortable at home,” said Laurie Parker, a NES Spokesperson. “The last thing you want to do is have to bundle up and be uncomfortable at your home just to save money on your bill.”

Those with TVA said the goal was to make every house as energy efficient as possible.
