CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Erosion due to recent heavy rain has cause a pip to collapse on Canterbury Road in Clarksville.

Canterbury Road from Dogwood Lane to Sherwood Drive is currently closed so that a drainage pipe can be replaced.

This drainage pipe is located under Beachaven Subdivision causing damage to the roadway which could be potentially hazardous to drivers.

This section of the road is expected to be closed for at least two weeks as Street Department crews remove and replace the pipe and restore the roadway to good condition.

There are alternate routes through the neighborhood that can be used by residents.
