Faith leaders pray for Nashville during vigil at Metro Courthouse

NASHVILLE MAYOR JOHN COOPER JOINED 12 LOCAL FAITH LEADERS TO PRAY FOR THE CITY IN A VIGIL TUESDAY NIGHT BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. — Nashville Mayor John Cooper joined 12 local faith leaders to pray for the city in a vigil Tuesday night before the city council meeting.

Leaders from many different religions prayed for Nasvhillians as much of the mid-state is in a state of unrest following the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.

They stood among the evidence of the city's pain as much of the area around the courthouse was fenced off due to the damage caused in the Saturday night riot.

Deputy Mayor Brenda Haywood led the vigil. Watch it in its entirety below.
