SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. - A Bedford County family is trying to find a sense of normalcy after all four of their children were nearly killed in a head on collision last month.

18-year-old Alejandro Arroyo, his 12-year-old brother, Jacob Andrews, their 6-year-old brother, Jackson Andrews, and middle child, 9-year-old, Joshua Andrews, were all nearly killed in the crash.

All became trapped in the family's Honda Civic after the crash and had to be rushed Vanderbilt University Medical Center after being pulled out of their mangled car.

"As bad as the wreck is and was they are still with us so we can get through anything else, we can get through wheelchairs, a diagnosis of paralysis we can get through anything because they’re here," their mom CC Andrews said.

The family has been focusing most of their attention on 6-year-old Jackson who was paralyzed when he suffered a severe spinal cord injury.

"It is life changing and we know it’s gonna be a lot more life changing," she added.

The Andrews are self employed, and they do have insurance but it will not cover the mountain of medical bills headed their way.

A GoFund Me page was setup to help the family. You can also make donations at Traders Bank under the Andrews Family Account.

Donations were asked to be mailed to the bank located at 1602 North Main Street, P.O. Box 806, Shelbyville, Tennessee, 37162.
