NASHVILLE, Tenn. - It was a touching way to honor a high school football player who was killed in a tragic crash.
Students, staff, and football players at Nashville Christian School paid tribute to 17-year-old Mickey Martin at Friday afternoon's pep rally wearing shirts with Mickey's number seven.
He was less than a mile from his home when officials believe he fell asleep behind the wheel in Joelton in July.
Mickey was a wide receiver for Nashville Christian School.
Everyone who knew him said he was a star player who was respected on and off the field.
