A Robertson County woman said she is thankful that her parents are alive after a fugitive barged into their home, stole their belongings and took off with their car, while holding the couple at gunpoint.
"I don't have any blame or anything towards anybody. I'm very thankful for what the police officers did and I feel for the family members of this guy because there's a loss of life there, it's very sad," the victims' daughter said.
The couple was held up by then fugitive Sandy Duke.
Duke was shot and killed by police Tuesday afternoon in Nashville.
After learning that Duke's family had apologized for his actions, the couple's daughter said she too is praying for the suspect's family.
"I appreciate what they're saying and I feel for them as parents. I have children too and I know sometimes it doesn't matter how we raise our children you never know how they're going to turn out. To the family, I'd like to say I'm sorry that they lost their son," she said.
