Nashville Crime Stoppers and their partners held a Feed the Troops picnic for Metro Nashville Police Officers who serve the West precinct Tuesday afternoon.
Organizers said it was a way for them to honor our law enforcement while also connecting them to residents in the communities they serve.
"We invite the community to come out to engage with the police officers to thank them for the service they provide to the community and then Crime Stoppers' mission is to connect and keep that relationship hold," said David Blake.
So far, Feed the Troops has fed officers in the South, Midtown, and West precincts.
Crime Stoppers said they hope to serve the rest of the precincts by the end of the year.
