Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department arrested a convicted felon believed to be responsible for an East Nashville robbery.
Shawn Summers allegedly demanded the belongings from a man and woman walking along South 10th Street near Woodland Street in East Nashville around 1:20 a.m.
The couple said he took the woman's purse and man's wallet then ran away.
Officers found the 36-year-old felon walking in the 700 block of South 7th Street. He had a gun in his back pocket.
Summers was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and felon in possession of a handgun.
Summers, who has previous convictions for aggravated burglary, assault, theft, and cocaine possession, was held in lieu of $100,000 bond.
