Fire Destroys Barn, Kills Chickens

A fire destroyed a Nashville barn, claiming equipment and animals along with it.

The barn at 125 Ray Avenue in Old Hickory caught fire around 7:45 p.m. Monday.

Crews arrived to find the wood barn fully engulfed in flames.

One tractor was destroyed, and a chicken coop behind the barn also caught fire. Some of the chickens died in the blaze, but some were able to be saved.

The cause of the fire was unknown.
