Two large brush fires burned through debris and brush near Lebanon and Mt. Juliet.

Fire crews responded to one of the fires along Interstate 40 near Central Pike and Harkreader Road.

According to firefighters on the scene, the fire began around 2:30 p.m. It was unclear what sparked the fire.

It had not yet threatened any homes, but with dry conditions and strong winds at play, crews continued to monitor the flames.

The second fire was located about eight miles from Lebanon near Flat Rock Road.

Video from NewsChannel 5's Sky 5 showed the flames ripping through dense brush and woods, even a truck was engulfed.

Crews were on scene trying to control the flames.

Firefighters on scene said the fire was started by a resident baling hay.
