PIKEVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Pikeville man has been arrested on multiple sexual offense charges following an investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Bledsoe County Sheriff's Department.

According to the TBI, agents joined the Bledsoe Sheriff's Department in September 2019 to investigate allegations of sexual misconduct against female employees of Bledsoe County Emergency Medical Services.

During the investigation, agents learned then-EMS Director William Angel, 29, was responsible for the sexual assault of employees between April 2017 and September 2019.

Angel was arrested July 31 on five counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and 11 counts of sexual battery. Angel was released after posting a $300,000 bond.
