Greene has been in the spotlight since he was shot last year at a local gas station.
He has just recently gained attention when the Davidson County District Attorney opened the investigation after questionable phone conversations between him and an assault suspect surfaced.

The DA was looking into whether or not Greene was trying to keep the assault victim from testifying, which is what he was charged of Friday night. Greene resigned last week as a result of that investigation.
In the series of recorded jailhouse phone calls with the suspect, Greene said he would "shut down" the victim.
He then took the stand to testify in the case involving his cousin, who has been accused of assault, after Greene allegedly tried to keep the victim from testifying in court. There, he admitted to lying under oath.

Greene’s bond has been set by a Criminal Court judge at $10,000.
