A former high school teacher in eastern Kentucky has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for sexually exploiting a student.
The U.S. attorney's office says 26-year-old Robert Cantrell of Versailles admitted earlier this year that he enticed a minor student to text him sexually explicit images in 2014. The prosecutor's office said in a news release that Cantrell also admitted that he induced the minor student to engage in sex acts with him.
Cantrell is a former high school teacher in Johnson County.
U.S. District Judge Danny C. Reeves on Tuesday also ordered Cantrell to serve 15 years of supervised release after finishing the sentence
