NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Around two-dozen fourth grade boys at Bellshire Elementary in North Nashville took part in Well-Dressed Wednesday.
The program is meant to show the young men the importance of personal hygiene and making a good first impression. It also teaches boys how to tie a necktie.
"I tell our young men 'you want to learn as many things as possible,'" said Wayne Simpson, family involvement specialist at Bellshire Elementary. "It's also a rite of passage from boyhood to manhood, so we want to make sure our young men have everything they need once they leave school."
Several members of the NewsChannel 5 team, including Lelan Statom and Nick Beres, spent the afternoon teaching the students in the program.
