FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Franklin city leaders held a ground breaking of Reddick Street Apartments Tuesday.
The apartments are a more affordable housing option, that are the result of a joint effort of the Franklin Housing Authority and The Michaels Organization.
The new 65-unit community will offer families with low to moderate incomes a place live.
There will be single-family, duplex and garden-style homes, as well as apartments with up to four bedrooms.
Families earning up to 60-percent of the area median income will qualify.
The project is expected to be complete by 2016.
