Police in Franklin have been searching for a suspect after a hit and run crash injured an officer.
The wreck happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday on Mallory Lane at West McEwen Drive.
Reports stated the officer was conducting a traffic stop when a dark-colored Chevy hit the squad car before fleeing from the scene.
Authorities said the wreck slammed the officer’s partially open car door into his leg. He was treated at a local hospital and released.
