HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A person who stopped to help a friend who crashed on Vietnam Veterans Boulevard (State Route 386) was struck and killed while trying to cross the road.
Hendersonville police said the initial crash happened around 7 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle overturned at mile marker 4.6.
At 7:18 p.m., a friend of the crash victim stopped on the westbound side and tried to cross the road. Police said the person was struck by a vehicle traveling west and died at the scene.
The victim was not identified. The investigation remains ongoing.
