Funeral Arrangements Set For Singer Lynn Anderson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Funeral arrangements have been made for award-winning singer, Lynn Anderson, who passed away last week.

A service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located on Thompson Lane in Nashville.

A visitation is planned Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Both are open to the public.

Anderson died Thursday of cardiac arrest at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was 67.

The multi-award winning singer was known for a string of hits throughout the 1970s and ‘80s. She was named CMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 1971.

She is perhaps best remembered for her song, "(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden," which was released in 1970 and was a huge crossover hit.

If you would like to send flowers, Anderson’s Facebook page said she had an affinity for roses.

She is survived by her father, her partner and three children.
