A Nashville gang member's prison sentence was extended after he assaulted another inmate, leaving him to spend the next two decades behind bars in federal prison.
Deunta Finch, 28, was sentenced Monday to 24 years in federal prison for firearms and robbery offenses.
According to Metro Nashville Police, the government pulled Finch’s plea agreement after he assaulted and seriously injured another federal prisoner.
The original plea agreement was for 15 years in prison.
Police say some of Finch’s offense happened in public housing.
