'Girls To The Moon' Campference Promotes Girl Power

Posted

Girl power was the focus of a special event in Nashville. The 4th annual Girls To The Moon Campference was designed to help girls boost their confidence and leadership skills.

The event was held at the Nossi College of Art on Saturday.

Girls ages 10 to 14 and their caregivers participated in sessions on everything from civic involvement to money management and body image.

“I just think it’s important to have the conversations with girls early on and tell them that their voices do matter, and it’s important to speak up,” said Courtenay Rogers, co-founder and COO of Girls To The Moon.

Around 275 girls participated. Some of the featured speakers included artists, doctors, and entrepreneurs.
