A would-be burglar tried to break into a South Nashville business overnight but couldn’t get past the front door.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the suspect tried to get in three different places, smashing glass and breaking the doorknob off one of the back doors.

The security alarm was tripped, but the burglar got away before officers got there.
Broken glass was seen scattered along the ground after the suspect couldn’t get through the metal bars.
A few drops of blood were found at the scene.
There was a security camera on the outside of the building.
