Google has partnered with Tennessee State University to give students the chance to train with computer science experts.
The tech company and it's experts will bring state-of-the-art workforce training to freshmen.
Both TSU and Google said this kind of training will better equip their students when applying for future jobs.
There were currently more than 1,300 IT jobs up for grabs in Middle Tennessee alone.
"We want to meet that local need as well as a national need, and by having an industry partner like Google, helps us do that more efficiently," said Dr. S. Keith Hargrove.
TSU is one of 10 historically black colleges partnering with Google.
