NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Due to increased demand, Governor-elect Bill Lee’s inaugural worship service has been moved to the Grand Ole Opry.

The service is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and will feature performers Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Nicole C. Mullen and Matthew West.

Lee’s Press Secretary Laine Arnold announced the change Wednesday morning. It was originally supposed to be held at the Ryman Auditorium.

The event is free to the public but tickets are required to attend. Click here for more details.

Attendees were encouraged to arrive early and be seated when the service starts.

Lee will be sworn in by Tennessee Supreme Court Chief Justice Jeffrey S. Bivins at 11 a.m. at Legislative Plaza. He defeated former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean back in November.
