JOELTON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police say they’re looking for a gunman who robbed a Joelton hotel overnight.
The call came in at a Days Inn on Gifford Place. Police say a man wearing a “COVID type mask” came in and asked about a room.
He then walked behind the counter to the office, pulled a gun and told two female clerks to get on the floor. According to police, he went through the cash drawer and took one of their phones.
He walked out and placed the phone down on the ledge. He got into a silver sedan, which drove off towards Interstate 24.
The investigation remains ongoing.
