Voters in the 56th district of Tennessee have been given the chance to decide whether they want to reelect House Speaker Beth Harwell or put her Democratic challenger Chris Moth into office.
The race, in one of Tennessee's most affluent voting districts, is expected to be one of the most watched in the state.
On Monday, both Harwell and Moth were out pounding the payment and putting up campaign signs in the Green Hills area.
"I think I have a proven track record of running and representing the will of my constituents and serving them with honor," Beth Harwell said.
Meanwhile, Chris Moth said it was Harwell's track record that voters should be concerned with.
"I think we have a leader in Beth Harwell who is reactive, we need a proactive leader here," Moth said.
Beth Harwell's position as Speaker of the House is also up for grabs if she's reelected.
