Manufacturing Week was kicked off by Governor Bill Haslam by visiting the Beretta Plant in Gallatin.
The campaign was created in an effort to get more students to pursue careers in manufacturing in Tennessee.
Governor Haslam took part in the week by touring the Beretta Plant in Gallatin.
Industry officials said they are in need of younger workers.
It's estimated one in four Tennesseans who work in the manufacturing industry are age 55 or older.
