NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman who was killed on the side of Interstate 40 near Knoxville will be saving a life after her death.
According to CBS affiliate WVLT, Sarah Kasunic's car had broken down and Goodlettsville woman Ashley Moore stopped to help when both were hit by a car and killed.
Police say Moore was pronounced dead at the scene and Kasunic was transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
According to a Go Fund Me that was created in her honor, Kasunic was an organ donor and her heart will now be used to help save a 10-year-old's life.
Moore family has asked those who want to help to make donation in Ashley's name at St. Jude's because she loved babies.
