NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Hendersonville mom is serving-up second chances.
Donna Neal has worked for McDonald's for 25 years -- but that's not the number of which she's most proud.
"150," she said.
Neal has taken in 150 foster children.
"But I don’t like to say 'foster children' because they’re my kids," she said.
Neal works as an assistant manager and says the company helped change her life, pulling her out out of poverty. She promised herself, if she got out, she'd give back.
"So when I made it out I always wanted to grab the kids and you know talk to them, inspire them that they can do better. I tell them about my life and how I came up and where I’m at today," she said.
Now, she helps her kids get jobs -- at McDonald's.
"I bring my kids to work here. They allow my kids to work with me so that’s a blessing," she said.
She says they're always looking for other applicants to join the team.
"We’re always looking for great parents. And you have to remember, don’t look at what they’re going through, look at what we have gone through and try to make a difference in their lives," she said.
