Hendersonville Police seeking man who stole cell phone

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is now being sought by Hendersonville Police after finding a lost cell phone and refusing to return it. The cell phone was left at the Walmart on North Anderson Lane by a shopper, before the man picked it up.

The owner of the phone was able to contact the man via phone, who then refused to return it. He added that he was going to throw it in the river.

Police were also able to contact the man via phone, but he reaffirmed he would not return it or allow the police to come get it. He told police he would either leave it in the river or "the projects."

Hendersonville Police are asking for assistance identifying the individual who has the phone.
