Metro Nashville police investigated an armed robbery at a Chili's restaurant in Hermitage early Monday morning.

Investigators were called to the restaurant on Old Hickory Blvd. just after midnight Monday. According to police, employees had just let a couple leave the restaurant out of a side door after paying their bill when two men entered the business and demanded money.

One of the two men was described as having a long gun.

Investigators said the suspects took both cash and a cell phone from an employee.

The two men left through the back door of the business.

Investigators are still working to determine how the two men got away.
