To commemorate the 201st anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans, the Hermitage will be hosting a free day for visitors.
The home of President Andrew Jackson allows people of all ages to experience the historical mansion along with a museum of the grounds.
The tourist attraction has offered free tickets for anyone visiting on Friday, Jan. 8.
Throughout the day there will be living history programs featuring War of 1812 soldiers.
The park is open from 9 that morning until 4:30 that afternoon.
