NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A homicide investigation is underway in Nashville after a woman’s body was found Friday morning.
The remains were discovered in the 200 block of Hermitage Avenue.
Officials with Metro Police said two homeless people made the discovery and alerted nearby workers who were able to flag down an officer.
Authorities said the victim suffered some sort of trauma and that her death was being investigated as a homicide.
Police believe she was killed and then wrapped in a piece of carpet.
No additional details were known.
