Authorities in Giles County are investigating a homicide on Highway 31.
The crime happened near Ella West Circle, according to the Giles County Sheriff's Office.
Officials identified the victim as 57-year-old Melvin Hyde.
One person has been taken into custody, but authorities said that was for unrelated charges.
