According to experts, there are a couple places you should avoid.
The most dangerous place for debit cards is using it for online purchases and at bars and restaurants --because there’s no way to know what happens with your card information when it’s not within your sight.
Bankrate also says you shouldn’t use outdoor ATMs because thieves can easily install skimmers.
Skimmers can also be found at gas stations. Bankrate recommended using credit cards or pay inside with cash.
