NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The "Human Life Protection Act" failed in the House. It would ban abortions if Roe V. Wade is ever overturned.
It was introduced by Rep. Susan Lyn and Sen. Dolores R. Gresham.
The legislation died in the Public Health Subcommittee Wednesday after some Republicans voted against it.
Several anti-abortion lawmakers worried they wouldn't be able to defend the bill in court.
