NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — More than 700 children were the recipients of gifts from the Metro Nashville Police Department on Christmas Eve morning at the 58th anniversary of the Christmas Basket Program for needy families.

Those receiving gifts were members of the 175 families who live throughout Nashville and were part of the program. Not only did the children receive toys but each family also was gifted four bushel baskets of food.

This initiative was made possible by donations from police department personnel and the Nashville community. Additionally members of the Boswell Harley Owners Group as well as Tennessee Titans coaches, players and staff played a huge role in ensuring everyone received food and gifts.
