Drivers should expect some delays around downtown Nashville this weekend.
A one-mile stretch of Interstate 40 has been closed for bridge repairs.
The closure was taking place from the I-40/I-24 split near the Silliman Evans Bridge to the I-40/I-65 split near the Adventure Science Center.
Also, 2nd Avenue, 4th Avenue, and Lafayette Street have been closed underneath the interstate.
The interstate and nearby roads should be back open by Monday morning at the latest. See the latest traffic information here.
