To help raise awareness of colon cancer, a massive inflatable colon was set up at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for an event.
Vanderbilt's Health and Wellness hosted the event on Tuesday.
The colon showed people what a healthy and unhealthy colon looks like and the different kind of pollops that can form.
Colon cancer can be treatable if it's found early, and Vanderbilt's goal was to let people know how important screening is.
"It's very preventable, especially if you catch the signs early, and so we're trying to encourage people that are over 50 years of age to get their regular colonoscopy to try to detect early signs of cancer,” said Brad Awalt, Health Plus Manager.
To get the ball rolling, just call your doctor or give the Vanderbilt Digestive Disease Center a ring.
