NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A man was charged with public intoxication after he was seen riding a Bird scooter on Ellington Parkway while reportedly intoxicated.
Authorities said he was spotted Wednesday on the parkway near Spring Street riding the scooter in the middle lane, and he was also seen weaving between lanes.
A 12-pack of Budweiser was reportedly on the back of the scooter. Police stopped him and confirmed he smelled of alcohol.
The man also had bloodshot, watery eyes and was unsteady on his feet, according to officials.
Authorities said he was arrested due to “being intoxicated and a danger to himself or others.”
