Activists with the Justice for Jocques Coalition held a silent protest in Hillsboro Village.
The group gathered at Fannie Mae Dees Park on Blakemore Avenue.
Everyone involved held signs blaming the city and the Metro Nashville Police Department for the death of Jocques Clemmons. Some signs also demmanded that the department fire Officer Josh Lippert.

The group posted the following message on their Facebook page:
"Show up to show that Nashville is not a place where murderers get away with murder because they wear a badge. Show up to show that we are unified in our insistence that Nashville can and must do better."
Along their silent march, police cruisers followed behind saying, "Move to the sidewalk. You are obstructing traffic. If a vehicle strikes you, it will be your fault."
The group's march ended in front of Mayor Megan Barry's home, where they left a coffin at her front gate. A sign on the coffin said, "You let this happen."
Mayor Barry released a statement later that night.
"I appreciate and respect the right of Nashvillians to voice their opinion through peaceful protest. I am glad to see that everyone remained safe and I appreciate the Metro Nashville Police Department doing their part to ensure that happened."
