Country Music superstar Keith Urban has been selected to headline this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration in Nashville.
In addition to Urban, artists such as Styx, Moon Taxi, A Thousand Horses, Charlie Worsham and the Fisk Jubilee singers, have also been added to the lineup.
“The diversity of this hometown lineup underscores why we are Music City,” said Beth Seigenthaler Courtney, chairman of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp and president of DVL Seigenthaler.
For the first time, the event will be held at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.
A record 150,000 people came to last year’s event on lower Broadway – earning $22.2 million in visitor spending.
The location change would better accommodate growth and enhanced security, officials said.
