Crews responded the in Davidson County after a tree fell into the roadway, causing delays.
A large branch fell around 2 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Hearthstone Lane in Nashville, a few blocks west of Nippers Corner.
The fallen branch did not cause a crash, but did cause an obstruction for traffic.
Crews with the Tennessee Department of Transportation responded to the scene with chainsaws and trucks, and cut up the limb for removal.
Initial reports said the branch fell on a car or cause a crash, but officials on the scene said no cars were damaged and no one was injured.
The incident happened as strong thunderstorms moved swiftly through the area.
Traffic moved slowly through the area as crews worked at the scene.
