Crews spent much of Tuesday morning working to fix a large water man break in Mt. Juliet that was affecting two neighborhoods.
The main ruptured near Park Glen Drive and Lebanon Road. Water was seen flowing across Park Glen Drive.
According to Michael Clay with the West Wilson Utility District, crews were able to stop where they believe the water main break was. The pressure went down, and the water began draining into a nearby creek. However, a mess remains on Park Glen Drive.
Clay said Tennessee 811 needed to be contacted to make sure there were no underground wires or lines in the area, before crews began digging to fix the break. The gas company had to come out to protect a gas line in the area before the process of fixing the water main break could begin.
About 100 homes were affected by the outage.
