The last gun show to do business at the Nashville Fairgrounds opened its doors last weekend, but show officials said their attendance was double what it normally is.
Board Members approved a push to block gun shows from being held at the Metro owned venue, making Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife Show the last gun show to open.
Organizers said the gun show ban as well as the recent attacks in Colorado Springs and San Bernardino may have contributed to the higher attendance.
Mayor Barry mentioned this week, she put they city's lawyer in charge of looking into the Fair Board's vote to ban those gun shows, to ensure the vote was a legal one.
