LEBANON, Tenn. — A man was arrested and over 5 ounces of heroin was seized after a four-month investigation into drug sales in Lebanon.
Members of the Lebanon and Wilson County Drug Task Force, Lebanon police, Wilson County Sheriff's Office, and Lebanon SWAT made the arrest of 28-year-old Ladarius Hastings after executing two search warrants, one on Forrest Park Drive and another on CL Manier Street.
According to Lebanon police, the warrants resulted in the seizure of over five ounces of heroin, over $3,000 in cash and a stolen handgun.
Hastings booked into Wilson County's jail and charged with possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I narcotic, possession of a stolen handgun and drug paraphernalia.
Hastings was on state probation for previous charges, so police also informed his parole officer. A parole violation was also issued.
Lebanon police say there has been an increase in heroin overdoses there recently. They hope this arrest will cause those to slow down, as well as send a message to other drug dealers in the community.
Hastings' recent activities are currently being investigated to determine if he is responsible for any of the recent overdoses.
